Additional Information:

Some users have found that the nouveau driver on the Debian Backport x64 kernel being used for RC 1 produces random screen lockups that require using REISUB to get out of. This is an upstream problem that MX-15 can do nothing about.

From BitJam: On the live system people can try either "F6 Failsafe" --> "Safe Video" or they can blacklist the nouveau driver "blacklist=nouveau". If you blacklist then the framebuffer will set the resolution in X so you will want to use "F7 Console" to set as high a resolution as your system can deal with.

A permanent solution would seem to be to use sgfxi to upgrade to the proprietary NVidia driver.
