MEPIS 11.0 is out!

Warren.pngWarren has announced the release of SimplyMEPIS 11.0. This new beauty is easy to install, easy to use, and easy to make your own. It's configured with a 2.6.36.4 kernel, the KDE 4.5.1 desktop, and many apps including LibreOffice 3.3.2, Firefox 4.0.1, VLC 1.1.3, Amarok 2.4.0, Kdenlive 0.7.9, etc.

antiX-M11 released!

Community.jpgAnticapitalista announced that antiX-M11 has been finished and is available. The light and flexible system based on Debian Testing and SimplyMEPIS is now available in full, base and core versions.

Second MEPIS 11 beta available

Warren.pngWarren announced the release of SimplyMEPIS 10.9.90 which solves many of the video problems of the past. Community contributions are having a signigicant impact. Post testing results on this thread, making sure to include hardware information as well. Still not designed for general or production use--but stay tuned!

New MepisLovers forum going up!

Community.jpgAfter months of testing and working out the kinks, the MepisLovers site is is being moved to a new server and converted to the open-source software phpBB. This move should be completed tonight (Tuesday 12/21), so that the new forum will be up sometime tomorrow morning. Great work by the Community team led by Richb and Peregrine--thanks from everybody!
