The MEPIS Community Artwork Project started in the Summer 0f 2007 with the goal of providing community-generated designs for possible use on the official MEPIS Linux 7.0 release. In early Autumn, donated server space and gallery software allowed the community to upload wallpaper, splash screen and logo designs. The Artwork Project concentrated on a subset of the submitted designs and with a lot of hard work generated a consistent look that MEPIS developer Warren Woodford accepted for the default MEPIS 7.0 desktop.

The Artwork Project Director is Brooko and the Gallery Admin is SilverBear, so if you're having trouble uploading or downloading designs there, contact SilverBear through MepisLovers.org forums. If you have ideas or designs, or want to volunteer for graphics production assignments, post your intention to volunteer on the MEPIS Community Art Project forum section at MepisLovers.org
