REVISION 1 uploaded safely

Tuesday the 23rd September. . . and we finally have the MEPIScommunity website up and looking good. For me, the two biggest challenges were:

  • to give structure to the Projects Pages tree so that more people from the community can come in and get involved in the area of their special ability or interest.
  • to design and implement a consistent style for the left-column graphical text boxes we use for links.

Using a system of left sidebar links for pages that are relevant to the context of each page, frees us to keep the same top-level menu bar for easy and quick site-wide navigation. There might be a case wher people will need to use the browser's "back" button to get out of a dead-end branch and up one level. But since that branching tree structure of the website isn't very deep yet, I don't think that is yet a problem.
